As a young teenager the cool thing to do with my time was to blog with an old-fashioned site, Xanga. All my cool friends did it. Each if us gained a sense of identity from our own little site... color, font, background, comment, article, story, humorous outline. Like when you choose what to wear for the day based on the occasion, location or likability of cloth color and texture... Our sites were a reflection of us and a sign of the era from which we lived. It's only been a decade ago.
Yesterday while sitting in my parent living room (watching a piano soundtracked romance movie) my brother turned to me and reminded me what my Xanga name had been. "Taking_The_Chance"... I can only imagine what inspired me to Take the Chance and create a Xanga in the first place. But I do remember highly enjoying typing, writing, creating. And as previously stated, all the cool kids were doing it. Reading the colorful responses and responding to those posts that caught my interests among my highschool and junior high friends was always a pleasure.
So here I am, Leah LeJeune nearly a decade later, enjoying the moment. And this is my blog.
